Arval Luxembourg expands its fleet significantly in 2021

Corporate 30 Mar 2022

In 2021, Arval Luxembourg’s fleet grew by an impressive 14%, taking the number of leased vehicles to over 12,000. This excellent result was achieved in spite of the challenging health context and the semiconductor shortage.

Guided by its “Arval Beyond” strategy, Arval Luxembourg thus confirmed its position as a major player on Luxembourg’s operational lease market for vehicles and in the provision of mobility solutions.

Overview of Arval Luxembourg’s solutions in 2021

  • In association with BGL BNP Paribas through its branch network, Arval Luxembourg continued to promote Private Lease, which is a long-term vehicle lease solution aimed at private individuals living in Luxembourg. Throughout the year, several offers were launched with particular emphasis placed on promoting new electric and hybrid vehicles.

  • Arval Luxembourg cemented its role as an advocate of electric mobility. Electric and hybrid vehicles accounted for almost 30% of total orders recorded by Arval Luxembourg in 2021, up from 20% in 2020.

For further evidence of Arval Luxembourg’s determination to offer a comprehensive range of solutions, we need only consider its green transport solution. It is designed to make it simpler for companies, municipalities and individuals to access electric and hybrid vehicles.
For the price of a monthly lease payment, this solution includes:

  • operational leasing of electric/hybrid cars under competitive terms;
  • access to vehicles offering technological innovations that provide drivers with ever-greater autonomy;
  • easier access to electric charging infrastructure through the installation of charging points.

In 2020, Arval Luxembourg strengthened its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by deciding to support Reforest’Action, a company with B Corp Certification, whose primary mission is to protect, restore and create forests. As part of this commitment, Arval Luxembourg pledged to plant 10,000 trees in Luxembourg over the 2020-2021 planting season.

This promise was upheld in 2021, with three projects set up in Tarchamps, Knaphoscheid and Munshausen. A symbolic tree planting event was held on Friday, 29 October 2021 on a plot of land in Knaphoscheid.

Véronique Bourgois, Managing Director of Arval Luxembourg, comments:

“The excellent growth achieved in 2021 stems from the local service provided by our 50-strong team of employees located in Luxembourg, who strive daily to deliver tailored advice. By prioritising client satisfaction, the 2021 results strengthen our resolve for 2022 to offer clients a comprehensive range of solutions to enhance their transport options and step up our commitment to supporting them in their energy transition strategies.”
