With nearly 23 years' experience at Arval, Véronique Bourgois is taking over from Gerry Wagner and heading up Arval Luxembourg, a major player on the company vehicle operational leasing and mobility solutions market.
Véronique Bourgois has spent most of her career at Arval. She joined the company in 1998 and was involved in the creation of the Luxembourg entity.
Her current role is Sales and Marketing Director.
She started work as Managing Director of Arval Luxembourg on 1st January 2021.
Gerry Wagner will join the Arval headquarters as Directeur of Institutional Relations for the Arval group. In this newly created role, he will represent Arval before the international political and decision-making bodies, be involved in the governance of professional vehicle leasing and rental associations and be Arval's voice on major issues decided at European Union level (data, tax, energy transition, etc.). He will remain a director of Arval Luxembourg and will continue to carry out his spokesperson duties for the House of Automobile and as vice-chairman of mobiz.
When she was appointed, Véronique Bourgois said: "I'd like to congratulate and thank Gerry for all his efforts over the past 15 years and for his commitment which has enabled us to become a vital player in operational leasing in Luxembourg. In nearly 15 years, our staff numbers have multiplied by 5 and our on-road vehicle fleet has increased from 1,500 to over 10,000 cars! I'm both proud and very enthusiastic about this new challenge. It is now my responsibility to offer all our customers more and more innovative mobility solutions while placing service quality at the heart of our everyday work."
This appointment is part of the different initiatives to promote women within Arval, such as the 'Women in Action' programme. In December 2020, Arval launched a new career programme, 'Women in Action', in reference to its employer brand: "Arval, a place for people in action". Its aim is to support women with high potential with the broader objective of promoting a culture of diversity within the group. With this new programme, Arval aims to increase the number of women in management positions by giving them the necessary means to develop their skills.
